BJ McKellar

BJ McKellar

Owner/Business Development Manager

BJ has been passionate about real estate since the early 2000s. He purchased his first rental property in his early twenties and quickly learned the challenges of managing maintenance, turnovers, and rent collections while balancing a full-time job and a young family. After experiencing firsthand the value of professional management, BJ shifted his focus to helping other investors succeed in the rental market.
Today, BJ dedicates his time exclusively to property management, drawing on years of experience as both a Realtor and rental property owner. He understands what owners need because he’s an investor himself—and even uses a property manager for his out-of-state homes. Known for his hands-on approach and problem-solving skills, BJ is committed to helping owners maximize their returns through strong tenant placement, proactive maintenance, and consistent communication.
When he’s not managing properties, BJ enjoys coaching soccer, running marathons and hanging out with his family.

Becky Payne

Condo Association Property Manager

Becky has been with Real Property Management for 8 years and serves as our dedicated HOA Property Manager, partnering with Board Members to manage the day‑to‑day operations of their communities, plan ahead, and keep residents informed and satisfied.

She enjoys interacting with all types of people and loves that no two days are ever the same in property management. Outside of work, Becky is happiest spending time with her family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and doting on her dog.

Amparo Beristain

Leasing Assistant

Amparo joined the Real Property Management team in 2024 and plays a key role in supporting the leasing process and onboarding new property owners and tenants. She enjoys the day-to-day challenges of helping both parties feel informed, comfortable, and connected, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for everyone involved.
Known for her organization and friendly communication style, Amparo strives to resolve issues quickly and reduce hassle for tenants and owners alike. She values teamwork and continuous learning, drawing inspiration from her colleagues and the dynamic nature of property management. In her free time, she loves meeting people from different cultures, practicing Pilates outdoors, and spending time with her two cats.

Melvin Cifuentes

Maintenance Technician

Melvin has been a valued member of the Real Property Management team for many years and is the technician every resident is happy to see, because they know their maintenance concerns will be taken care of promptly and professionally. He spends his days on the move, traveling from property to property, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs to keep homes safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained. If he’s not in the van, you can usually find him picking up supplies at Home Depot or out on the soccer field.
Melvin takes pride in his work and in the relationships he builds with residents, owners, and teammates through dependable service and a positive attitude. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing soccer, and traveling the world with his amazing wife.

Boston McKellar

Maintenance Technician

Boston has been part of the Real Property Management team for four years and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time. Before joining the company, he worked as a maintenance technician for a large apartment community, where he gained valuable experience handling turnovers and daily repairs to keep properties running smoothly and residents happy.
A licensed contractor in Maryland (MHIC Certified), Boston brings both technical skill and reliability to every project. Known for his clear communication, timeliness, and honesty, he ensures that residents and owners are always kept informed—if something can’t be fixed or replaced immediately, Boston will let them know right away.
When he’s not on the job, you might find him fixing cars, spending time with friends, enjoying a motorcycle ride, or working occasional events at Merriweather Post Pavilion—combining his love of music with a strong work ethic.

Nicole McKellar

Property Manager

Nicole has been a valued member of the Real Property Management team for several years, bringing a deep understanding of property management from both professional and personal experience. As a property owner herself, she knows firsthand the importance of protecting assets and maintaining strong tenant relationships. Nicole is passionate about helping people, solving problems quickly, and creating positive experiences for both tenants and owners.
She takes pride in handling every aspect of property management with care—from leasing to accounting and ensuring compliance, to keeping communication open and transparent. Her goal is to keep tenants satisfied and owners confident that their properties are in good hands. When she’s not managing properties, Nicole enjoys cleaning and yard work, taking walks, playing games, and traveling with her family.

Jonathan Porter

Maintenance Coordinator

Jonathan has always been drawn to a good puzzle. In property maintenance, no two days are the same, and he thrives on the challenge of diagnosing a problem and finding the most efficient way to solve it. At the end of the day, his motivation is simple: he loves helping people. Turning a stressful maintenance issue into a resolved task is incredibly rewarding for him.
How He Supports You
Whether you are a property owner or a resident, Jonathan’s goal is to provide peace of mind through clear, organized communication, working to reduce the stress that comes from the “unknown” by keeping everyone in the loop. He coordinates closely with our dedicated maintenance team and trusted vendors to ensure work is completed correctly and promptly. He also manages the logistics behind each job so you don’t have to, helping keep every property in top shape.
Beyond the Toolbox
When he’s not coordinating repairs, Jonathan is usually spending time with his family. They are big fans of their local library and catching the latest movies. They also enjoy staying active by going on hikes and, whenever the weather allows, making a splash at the pool.

Tiffany Ah Loe

Operations Specialist

Tiffany has been a valued member of the Real Property Management team for over 11 years. She plays a key role in the financial side of property management, focusing on accurate accounting, clear reporting, and timely communication so owners always know where their investments stand. Tiffany takes pride in creating clarity and organization behind the scenes, helping both owners and residents feel confident that everything is handled smoothly.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time in nature, cooking, and making memories with her family.

Carlos Salazar

Maintenance Assistant

Carlos has been part of the Real Property Management team since September 2019, bringing skill, reliability, and a positive attitude to the maintenance department. He enjoys the variety each day brings, from fixing small issues quickly to coordinating larger repair projects that require planning and precision. Carlos values connecting with residents and ensuring that every repair is handled efficiently and professionally, helping property owners maintain both value and peace of mind.
Known for his clear communication and strong work ethic, Carlos makes sure residents and owners stay informed throughout the maintenance process. Outside of work, he loves spending time outdoors with his golden retriever, Tyson, and staying active through mountain biking, swimming, and exploring new trails on the weekends.
